Also, the most famous sandy beach in Split, Bačvice, is only 10 min. away by walking.

Split is the perfect destination as a starting point for many interesting exursions to dalmatian islands:
Brač, Hvar, Korčula, Vis, Lastovo, Solta.
All this island are with good whole day ferryboat connection to mainland.
