About The White Swan Hotel
For over 285 years the White Swan has been one of the noted houses of call in Barton upon Humber in North Lincolnshire. It is now the last of the town's old posting houses. When it was first built is hard to state but we do find that about the year 1670 a Mr George Kidson issued his own token halfpennies. this Mr Kidson was the landlord of the White Swan which we can assume was the present.
Situated on the South Bank of the famous Humber Bridge, Barton is a noted tourist attraction for travelers from all over the world. With a nature reserve, and many scenic walks, lots of history and plenty of old character buildings, Barton has a lot to offer for the holiday maker whether it be fishing, rambling, or just relaxing. The hotel does offer a bicycle hire service.
The White Swan Hiotel has a choice of either double, twin, or single rooms. All rooms have television and DVD players, refrigerator and refreshments. All accommodation rooms are either ensuite or semi-ensuite and all double rooms look out over to the Humber Bridge.
A continental breakfast is included with your room, however a cooked breakfast is also available as an optional extra. Breakfast is served in the restaurant between 7am and 10am
The hotel also offer an overnight movie hire from the reception area.
And for either short or long term bookings a laundry service is available If you are going out for a day and wish to take a picnic hamper, the hotel chef will be happy to assemble something special for your tastes.
