About YHA Hawkshead

This listed Regency mansion retains many of its original features including lavish plasterwork and a magnificently decorated cupola over the grand staircase. Overlooking the tranquil Esthwaite Water in the southern Lakes, it's a gorgeous spot from which to explore the surrounding Beatrix Potter country and some of the best mountain biking in England.

Hawkshead village, known as the prettiest village in the Lake District with clusters of whitewashed houses, is just a mile from the hostel.

Meals available include breakfast, picnic lunch and evening meal. Evening meal is available from 18.00 hrs.

Facilities include lounge, TV/games room, self-catering kitchen, drying rooms, laundry, showers, shop and cycle store and hire.
