Now well established as Manchesters favourite backpackers, The Hatters continues to please the young at heart...

Winner of Manchester tourism outstanding customer service award in 2004, and recently aquired the Investors In People award, we are always trying to imrove what we can provide to all our guests. We have now got wi-fi in the building - we have no idea how but it works. Free juice at breakfast too.......

We have a great city centre location ideal for the individual backpacker or student. It also caters for student and adult groups which require space and convenience to all the city's major attractions. We know the city and will be delighted to tell you what we know and find out what you know.

Our location in the Northern Quarter is perfect for the traveller to Manchester (so much so we run Northern Quarter pub crawls on Thursdays - not however from December until spring as people have so many other parties to be going to). This area is the city's bohemian, creative centre and is full of the eclectic - record stores, funky clothes bazaars, live music venues with music 7 days a week. The live venue bars are cheap and very live... there's even a Chinese arts centre nearby as well as a sizable China town with great restaurants and karaoke.

Experience the 'vibe' that is Manchester by hanging out in our lounge or in any of the neighbourhood haunts which are legend in this part of the world. From Afflecks Palace to Night n Day (we love these people) there is always plenty goin on around here.

The city is blessed with over 50 museums and art galleries all with FREE ADMISSION- and most within walking distance!

We have improved our self catering kitchen as well as the brekkie - juice juice - to cater for more Manchester fans and the lounge area is continually getting a facelift and having new stuff added to it - wi fi for example and lockers for your smaller items as well as laptops. All added to our pool table and little internet cafe with plenty of computers with web cams and the lot.

A free secure luggage holding area as well as a safe for valuables are available to our customers.

Television room is also available with access to free dvds and popcorn with our compliments - we will make it for you in front of your very eyes (the popcorn not the movies) - wow.

We also provide tea/coffee and toast all day every day to everyone staying!

**Cancellations must be made by 5pm on the day before arrival otherwise the first nightwill be charged if you fail to arrive or cancel**
