About Les Iris

We are located in the heart of the Loire valley, with almost all the major chateaux and the Beauval Zoo within a 20 to 30 min drive. 27 km to Amboise.

The house has 4 spacious family rooms. THE SUITE Luxury kingsize bed = TV. HORTESIA 1 double+ 1 single bed,TILLEUIL 1 double+2 single beds, and ST MARTIN 1 double+2 single beds. 3 of 4 rooms enjoy independant access,all have private ensuite bathroom and WC, and a direct view over the valley. Enjoy an overnight or short stay (breakfast is included in the price), in an idylically lanscaped setting. The general atmoshere at Les Iris is peaceful, friendly, and scenic.

Arlene, the English owner, also offers a delicious 'French Cuisine'full evening meal including wine and apperitive drink for 25E, which is served (weather permitting) outside in the garden or on one of the many terraces surrounding the house. A heated swimming pool is available to all guests.

Monthou-sur-cher has its own castle, 'Le Gue Pean', which opens for a very interesting visit during the summer months. In the heart of the village there's also a restaurant overlooking a lake and fishing area.

Horseriding is available on the outskirts of the village, and for golfers an 18 hole course is within a 15 min drive.
