About Vanila Guesthouse
Hello from Anjuna, we are a Goan couple Paulina & Erwin Bocarro and we live downstairs to the Vanilla Guesthouse. Paulina is a housewife and I am a Mining Engineer. My Mother, Grandmother and 4 children live together as a Goan Christian family, so alltogether thats 4 generations all living under one roof. Our family migrated to the British Colony of Kenya (East Africa) in the early part of the Century but have now resettled in our Village Anjuna since 1964.
Our family run and maintained Vanilla Guest house in the Anjuna Village consists of :
3 ensuite private rooms with double bed(Room A, B, F) Room F is a big bedroom & bathroom but is not linked to our main guest house and if you want more privacy then this is the room for you
1 ensuite private room with 2 single beds (Room D)
One ensuite private room with 1 single double bed (Room C) Though due to size of the room we have allocated this room for single occupancy, it can also accomodate 2 persons at a small extra charge.
(Room E) - 3 single beded room with shared bathroom can accomodate 3 persons
All rooms are on the first floor economical and well maintained with 24 hours hot / cold shower, laundry service, pick up and drop service, sight seeing tours with our friendly local cab driver.
The Guest house has a big open balcony overlooking the Indian Ocean where one can relax and enjoy the sun. Apart from this all the rooms have a balcony. The high tide mark is only about 50 metres away. Along the beach front are available restaurants and places to enjoy a peaceful drink of types to suit the different taste buds of the travellers.
Our Guest House is located more of less in the centre of the Anjuna Village and near the sea front. The popular Anjuna Beach is about a minutes walk from the Guest House and the backpackers delight Anjuna Wednesday Flea market about 15 minutes walking distance along the beach (South Anjuna). The Saturday night bazaar in the neighbouring Arpora Village is about 3 kilometers away. Towards the North of Anjuna we have the Vagator Beaches (Small Vagator, Middle Vagator & Big Vagator) Overlooking the Big Vagator beach stands the ancient Chapora Fort and gives you a breathtaking view of the surroundings from atop. The fishing village of Chapora lies just below the Chapora Fort towards the North East. Towards the South the next beach is Baga & Calangute which is crowded throughout the year.
We Erwin and Paulina your host will be most pleased to welcome you to our Guest house and apart from enjoying the Goan family athmosphere down here, we shall strive to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. We also maintain a Guest Book where you can pen down your comments / suggestions.
