Hotel Samrat is a low cost hotel located in the heart of Mumbai and opposite Khar Road (West) Railway Station, approx 3 kilometres from Santacruz Domestic Airport and Juhu beach and only 6 kms from Sahar International Airport.

It is only 3 minutes from the famous shopping area of Linking road ,Bandra. The Bandra Kurla Complex - the new business nerve of Mumbai is only 4 kms. We are located 15 kms from Gateway of India and flora fountain.Mumbai stretches over 50 kms and we are in the center of Mumbai from where you can travel in any direction easily.

Each spacious, tastefully furnished room at Hotel Samrat has a bathroom/wc, fan, call bell , direct dialing telephone, satellite TV and 24 hours Room Service and 24 hours running hot & cold water and linen included.

The Executive Rooms are priced reasonably at Rs.3000/- onwards but are value for money and have LCD screens.,split Ac , latest and modern plumbings with shower panels with jet spray , internet connections, wifi,large size rooms , pleasant decor , sound proof windows,etc.
The Executive Suite has an extra sitting room and a kitchenette.If you wish you can ask the Receptionist to show you the rooms and switch your room by paying the difference.

The hotel check in time is 12.00 am and the check out time is 12.00 am.

The Lobby has cyber terminal for 24 hour Internet access facility .Internet access and wifi are charged at reasonable rates.

BRING YOUR LAPTOP ALONG ! The Lobby has WI FI facility too and you can just sit in the lobby and surf your favorite websites and check mail on your laptop and make yourself completely at home ! ( Nominal rates for internet)

Surrounding the hotel are a wide variety of restaurants ,pubs bars and discos.The Khar market nearby is where you can pick up all your shopping,groceries ,medicines,etc.

The hotel has a family restaurant, Pindh-Da-Dhaba Restaurant that specializes in authentic Punjabi , Tandoori & Chinese cuisine.You can enjoy Live Indian music, songs and ghazals while the astrologer and palmist can regale you with insights into your future.

As soon as you request flight pick up we shall confirm the pick up and give you the driver's cell No. too to help you in locating him. He would be carrying paging board of your name.
If you don't receive our flight pick up confirmation please email us again with details.

Check Out Time is 12 noon.
If you check in prior to 12 noon you will charged for the 1st day till noon.
If you are checking in after 10 am,You may request the receptionist to waive the charges after 10 am till 12 noon.
Our charges are not for 24 hours.The 1st day ends at 12 noon.
You may Check In at any time of day or night.
Please note that Hotel Samrat is the most economical Hotel in Mumbai- the most costliest megapolis city.
Mumbai is a fun place and there are lots of pubs and discos in the surrounding locality.

While selecting your room and making the booking if the room you selected is not available then the online system automatically selects the next best availability and of course notifies you prior to your making the confirmation.

Cancellations made prior to 48 hours will be charged 10% only besides the 10% already charged when making the reservation.

Word of CAUTION:
Beware of touts at the arrival Hall at the airport who dupe the guests by telling them lies that our Hotel is full and there's no reservation for you. They make the guests talk on their own cell phones to one of the touts' partner to mislead the guest that they are talking to the Hotel Receptionist and the person at the other end of the line says they are from our Hotel and there's no room available and then the guests are whisked to other destinations and fleeced.

....................The property rooms are fairly clean, and I feel rather safe. This location has a very close access to Bandra, the airport, but it's fairly far away from all the other major spots. The staff is helpful because they pretty much provide all the service directly to your room..............

Restaurant is fantastic, food is delicious and staff are attentive and quick to respond to problems. I highly recommend the pomfret with green masala-amazing! Staff in hotel are excellent, kept our luggage all day as our flight was not until late and did not charge, very helpful and gave us a late checkout with no charge as we had arrived v late. Without a doubt one of the best places we stayed in India.

initially i was not happy with my room not its state.I was given another room and even a cleaner was sent out to clean not only my room, but my bathroom the window the works. thereafter, my beddings, bathrooms and all were cleaning daily !

I was a little put off by reviews that were posted after I'd booked my accommodation - however I found this a great place to stay, the room was clean and basic (Decor a bit tired but fine ) but it all worked. The staff aren't smiley but why should they be for the money they earn and the price you pay. Location is close to airport and away from the city. But the neighbourhood has an interesting market and shopping street and if you venture a little to the West or West of Bandra there are up-market-ish areas. I recommend visitors get a tourist pass for the rail if you want to go into Mumbai City - it's cheaper than daiilies and ticket queues are long (avoid trains before 10am and from 6pm to 9pm - the crush is hilarious, but also a little disturbing)

Good place, walking distance to Khar station, good if you need to be close to the airport ... The transfer from the hotel to the airport is reliable though, give them plenty of notice when you want it.

I was pleased to see someone waiting for me at the airport when I arrived in Mumbai. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helped book me a bus ticket to Goa. The room was simple yet clean. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe.

Wifi internet in lobby was good. Room service excellent with food from the restaurant v.good. Water went off in the middle of the night - so THAT'S WHY there's a big bucket in the bathroom! A busy area in the mornings - as it is a central labour market - but surprisingly quiet in the evenings. The water was hard - perhaps a coconut oil type soap would be useful if you like soap to lather, or some sort of gel? Corridors look drab but the rooms were satisfactory - clean and with sufficient space and ceiling height. I just used the fan but a/c was available. No mosquitoes/bedbugs/cockroaches seen....that was really good!
