About Domus Augusta

Our holiday house is situated in the very famous archaeological site Aquileia, half an hour from Trieste. For over 750 years it was a very important Roman city and is very conveniently located to visit the Friuli region, as well as for stop-overs on your way to/from Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.

It is only 10km from Trieste Airport, with easy bus and train connections to Trieste, Udine and Venice.

We mostly have family rooms with private adjoining bathroom, triples and quads doubles and some dorm beds.
The sandy beaches of Grado are only 9 km away, and if you are into mosaics in Aquileia you can admire the oldest ones of the Christian era, as well as lots of Roman ruins and some museums.
