About Mafkees

Our sleep-in is a basic accommodation which is clean and safe. It's situated in the center of Rotterdam only 200 meters from Central Station. It's only open in July and August and during the International Filmfestival in January.


'Mafkees' (sorry it's not possible to translate, but it's a sort of crazy sleeping beauty) is the sleep-in of Use-it Rotterdam. In the Mafkees you can relax at the bar and have a drink. We serve meals for only E 5,90. We got vegetarian food and use free range meat in the other meals. It's a great place to meet other travellers and exchange experiences.

We have our beds in 2 big dorms. One for women only (24 beds) and the other mixed dorm (126 beds).
You must have your own sleepingbag !!!
(Sheets are available for rent on a limited bases)

Who are we?
Mafkees is run by Use-it. Use-it is the information - and service center for backpackers in Rotterdam. Use-it is a nonprofit organization funded by the local government.
You'll find Use-it in the same building as De Mafkees.
Mafkees is closed between 11.30am and 5pm. If you arrive between this time you can check in at Use-it and leave your backpack at one of their free lockers.
