La Compania Hostel Is located in an old republican building, in the heart of Arequipa, next to the Plaza de Armas, and close to the some of the cities most attractive sites.
The spacious rooms open onto a sunny patio that leads to a dinning area and lounge. Baltic pine floors, and the high ceilings of the rooms, characterize the style of this period.

In 2005 all the rooms were renovated, and the proprietor strove to maintain the charm and character of this building while bringing the modern touch of indoor bathrooms. They also like to have backpackers stay with them and provide shared rooms, which can easily accommodate up to five people.
They have attempted to create a friendly relaxed atmosphere and guests are often found enjoying the lounge room or reading with a cool drink on the patio.

The main sites in and around the city of Arequipa include: La Compania Jesuit church, which is the oldest in Arequipa, the Cathedral which dominates the Plaza de Armas and The Museo Historico Municipal, the local Museum which once functioned as a prison.
