Nearby are the villages Clifden (13km)and Recess (8km/ shop, pub and petrol station only). But also the pretty village of Roundstone (14km)situated on the Atlantic ocean.

Inisboffin, the island of legend and folklore, can be visited from nearby Cleggan.

Also a good base to visit the Aran Islands (45 min. from Rossaveal where the ferry operates)

Reception opens at 17:00 until 23:00.

You'll find a big self catering kitchen, a spacious dining room and a homely common room with turf fire and beautiful views.

Micheal Nee Coaches is a great bet for getting to and from the hostel. For enquiries (groups etc.) phone ********. Departs from Galway & Clifden several times a day.

The maximum number of nights one can stay is 7 nights. any booking for more than 10 people needs to be made directly with the hostel or Hostelclub's group department.
