About Green Elephant

The Green Elephant - friendly, personal and experienced in travel - is in the lively student area of Observatory.
We consistently have the friendliest managers around, and our South African permanent staff mix with experienced travellers to give authentic travel memories of Cape Town.
The facilities include the only Jacuzzi in a Cape Town hostel for party fun, a cooler swimming pool, but most importantly a great friendly home to travellers since 1994.
4 double rooms have 4 poster beds and 3 rooms are en-suite. The dorms are SPACIOUS and social areas HUGE.

From here you easily go to student pubs and restaurants, public transport, shops, movies, sportsgrounds and theatres.It is the liveliest student area in Cape Town.

We are here to enjoy ourselves too, so join us when we go diving, beaching, sea kayaking, hiking or just out partying!
