About El Refugio Hostel

Located in the village of Cartajima, just 14km from Ronda in Andalucia, in the little known Alta Genal valley, the hostel benefits from local walks through resplendent valleys to neighbouring villages, with guided walks by a local expert also available. The area is a mountain bikers dream and popular with birdwatchers, artists and photographers alike.

The magnificent Sierra de Las Nieves National Park is just 10 min by car.


A delightfully laid back atmosphere awaits in this traditionally built 300 year old hostel. Open all year accommodation consists of a dormitory located in a rustic chestnut beamed room, with two double rooms and a private twin bunk room also available.
