The hostel is located in Plaza Independencia Number 713, in the city of Montevideo, in front of the Mauseloe del Gral. Artigas and the Goverment House, in the famous Plaza Independencia. The building of the hostel, which falls back to the end of the XIX century, combine an antique architecure with recycled modernism that has preserved its value of its history in a very priviliged and unique area of Montevideo.

Facilities.

The hostel has more than thirty rooms, with and without private bathroom: we offer singles, doubles, triples, quadruples, and dorms. We have a beautiful central patio, covered with an original skylight which allows it to open up and discover a hidden backyard. To have a good time with friends, experiences, foods and drinks: The Madhouse Pub, our bar.
Reception, living room, kitchen, dining room, home theater area (TV, DVD, MUSIC, BOARD GAMES, ETC.) and a reading room that completes the structure of the hostel.

Bilingual reception (all of our receptionist are bilingual and speak English and Spanish, some are even fluent in a third languages, such as Portugues, French or German) from 8:00 to 1:00, security from 24:00 to 8:00, wireless internet, tourist information, assitance to the guests, Tour Sales, free city tours, food, snacks and drinks at our very own Madhouse Pub, the bar-restaurant of the hostel, cultural activities without a cost (bbq, pizza parties, movie night, etc.)
