About Harlem YMCA

The Harlem YMCA is located in the heart of the Harlem community. It is surrounded by numerous landmarks such as, Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Sylvia's Soul Food Restaurant, the world famous Apollo Theatre, Malcolm Shabazz Market and is also close to the famed 125th Street shopping district. It is a short metro or bus ride from midtown Manhattan and is within walking distance of restaurants to suit all budgets.

The Harlem YMCA's Claude McKay Residence has 235 rooms and is clean, safe and affordable. The rooms are single or double occupancy (bunk beds)and all have TV and refrigerator. 24 hour security and housekeeping service are also provided. Shared bath facilities are conveniently located on each corridor.

Guests may also use the Health and Wellness Center, including heated swimming pool, weight room and Cardiovascular and Strength Training Center.

The Harlem YMCA is conveniently located near the numbers 2 and 3 or C and B subways and the cross-town and midtown bus lines.

The YMCA is a non profit tax exempt organization. There is no tax added to our cost.
