About Carmen del Cobertizo Inn

An ancient Renaissance mansion from the 16th century with remnants from the 11th, the Carmen del Cobertizo is a green space typical of Granada and Andalusia, with a small garden and orchard. It is encircled by adobe walls from which intensely green ivy and other creeping plants scale downwards. Set on the slopes of the Albayzin neighbourhood, it is a splendid yet hidden viewpoint which delivers surprising panoramas of beautiful landscapes to its visitors. Its five rooms and suites have been laid out around a gallery on the first floor, which exhibits a wood-carved ceiling with intricate, interlacing designs, decorated in a traditional manner, conserving all of the charm of yesteryear. Their facilities have been arranged in consonance with modern times, with customers' well being in mind at all times, and among them we find central heating, bath products and wireless internet connection. Some of them have been blessed with privileged views of the Alhambra. While looking out from the balcony of the gallery, you'll see the internal courtyard of the structure, endowed with majestic columns, which are now a part of the lounge in the hotel. Outdoors, in the orchard, an ancient Moorish-style wading pool incites you to take a dip in its thermal waters among a well kempt verdure.
