A kilometre from the inhabited centre of Ostuni and just a few kilometres from the sea lies the 'Masseria Salinola' Agritourism Estate, immersed in the green age old olive groves, this old 18th century masseria has been carefully restructured to maintain its original stone architecture.The old masseria, until the last century, was used as a salt deposit for salt shipped to the old port of Villanova from all over the Mediterranean. Over the years the masseria became more and more important until it became the centre of agricultural and social life and a reference point for the local farmers of the area.The apartments, furnished in country style, can accommodate three to six people. All the apartments have a kitchenette and private bathroom. Inside the grounds of the masseria there is also a little old country church with its cobbled floor, vaulted ceiling and stone alter.For 15 years the Masseria Salinola has specialised in country holidays, the warm welcome from the host family guarantees guests a relaxing holiday in the countryside of Puglia, for those in search of the typical traditional cuisine of Ostuni based on organic produce grown, prepared on the estate and offered in our inside tipical restaurant. All this and more in a family atmosphere wrapped in the charm of a time gone by in this characteristic old masseria. Also available to guests is a swimming pool with Jacuzzi, a children's playground, bicycles, table tennis, long country walks. On the Estate you can also buy products such as Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
