About Dar Tha Tha

Dar Tha Tha is a slice of '70s Marrakesh that has resisted renovation to preserve its mismatched tiles and quirky French colonial interior.

Add the laid-back atmosphere and this is a real home away from home.

It's also an excellent first stop for any solo female travellers, as it brings you to a very safe environment right in the heart of the souq.

The house is tiny, with a Lilliputian courtyard set up with table and chairs. The sitting room could do with being a bit more comfortable and colourful, but the friendly, unpretentious atmosphere is worth its weight in gold and each of the four rooms are neat and homely.

Room No 3 (with air-con) is the largest, but it's a touch dark due to the high window.
