About Borneo Proboscis River Lodge

Sited on the Klias River bank on a large grass compound, we have built a traditional local style of accommodation made of raw timber and bamboo! This includes a Rungus Longhouse of 8 rooms and other types of chalet rooms that reflects a typical local village.

We have en suite and air conditioned rooms and a large jetty restaurant and common room that sits over the river.

Our main attractions are the river cruises that take you into the wetland to see the famous Proboscis monkeys which are found only in Borneo, fireflies that lights up foliage like Christmas trees, and according to an English naturist, 'the most concentrated in the world'.

Our food, as most guests say is 'the best on vacation', includes a buffet of wide range of seafood, vegetables, curry chicken, all cooked superbly with the local touch.
