Quinta dos Tres Rios is a magnificent Quinta (farmhouse) which was built by an Englishman in the late 1800īs. The house is built of fine granite, partly into a terrace. The high ceilings on the ground floor at over 4 meters keep the house cool even on the hottest of days.In the winter we have several open fires burning Olive wood with full central heating The original features have been retained in a beautifully authentic restoration.
The 3 suites located in the top of the house incorporate the original pine beams giving a true "wow" factor. A fine oak staircase accesses the river suites. The large sitting rooms with comfy sofas give genuine feeling that you are at home!
The 3 suites on the ground floor, with their original 3-meter pine shutters, are accessed from the reception and have a real Portuguese theme. Should you wish to join us for dinner (cooked by our daughter Caroline - ex pastry chef at the Michelin starred Glasshouse at Kew), this can be booked in the morning. For those interested in wine we have a 1.9-hectare vineyard!
