Situated in the cool hills of Western Ghats in Kerala, in the midst of plantations of tea, pepper, vanilla, coffee, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom, it offers a unique stay for those who are lovers of nature. Surrounded by thick forest, enriched with natural habitats and wild life, but with safety in a country side, Canaan is supposed to be one among the unique homestays in Kerala.
True to its name, at Canaan Valley, you could find wild honey combs from which honey flows.
There is natural spring flowing through with crystal clear mountain water. Bird lovers could find their time valuable in this nature where very rare species have their habitat in the plantations.
Always wanted to take a ride on the back of an elephant or see other wild animals ?
We can make those arrangements for you. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is nearby and a boating in the reservoir will take you to a variety of wild animals like elephants, boars, barking deer, packs of wolves and elusive tigers. Trekking is also arranged for the adventure loving persons.
