Maria Bonita is a new hostel in San Cristobal de las Casas, just opened doors on August 19th 2008. We believe in the meaning of service, and know it to be the most important thing when you´re travellling, so thats our task, to provide it.
The house is fully equipped to satisfy all your needs, great value for your money, cozy, clean, safe, friendly and has a relaxed atmosphere.

We are located in San Cristobal´s heart, the street name is Francisco Leon # 5 at Barrio de Santa Lucia, an traditional neighborhood which lies just 3 blocks away from the main square. The excellent location allows you to experience San Cristobal´s unique atmosphere. We are only minutes away from the best restaurants, bars, clubs, cafe´s, and shops in town.
Tourist Attractions: Chiapas is filled with marvelous natural and cultural relics, gastronomical delights, magnificent architecture and archeological sites. We invite you to come see them all while you make yourself at home in Maria Bonita!

Central San Cristobal is easily covered on foot while the colourful surrounding neighbourhoods are also waiting to be discovered. San Cristobal´s Cathedral is the meeting point for local and foreign people alike. Its really worth getting to know the surrounding areas, including Santo Domingo, an ex-convent with Baroque architecture which is a must-see.

San Cristobal has a cosmopolitan atmosphere despite its small size but also offers a chance to see the traditional Mexican way of life. Sit down around the "andador", drink a coffee or a beer and enjoy the easy going life of the locals before heading out at night to discover the many bars and discos. Anything can happen as you try and out do the locals before heading home to watch the sunrise.

We invite you to hire a tour to visit other sites in the Chiapas region. Tours are easily booked to incredible places like Sumidero´s Canyon, Comitan, Palenque, Montebello lakes, and Misol-Ha, Agua Azul and Chiflon waterfalls; native communities- San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan; archeological zones- Yaxchilan, Bonampak, Tenam Puente, Chinkultic, Tonina. Just to name a few!

estamos ubicados el centro historico de san Cristobal en la calle Francisco Leon # 5en el Barrio Santa Lucia uno de los barrios mas antiguos y tradicionales de la ciudad. A 5 minutos del andador turistico, donde encontraras restaurantes, tiendas de artesanias, bares, teatros, museos, estamos cerca tambien de casas de cambio, supermercados, cafe Internet.
Atractivos turisticos: Chiapas es un estado lleno de maravillas, te invitamos a que conozcas todo lo que te ofrece.

San Cristobal es una ciudad que descubres caminandola. Sus barrios te invitan a conocer su historia. La Catedral de San Cristobal es el punto de reunion, ahi convive gente local con gente de todo el mundo. Sin duda vale la pena visitarla, al igual que la iglesia-ex convento de Sto. Domingo en el antiguo barrio del cerrillo, de estilo barroco, Sto. Domingo tambien es una de las obras de arte que guarda la ciudad. Y asi San Cristobal con su vida cosmopolita pero sin perder su tradicion te ofrece lugares magicos que conocer. Tomarse un cafe en el andador turistico y ver pasar gente es algo que tienes que hacer. Asi como una cerveza en la noche en algun bar para despues empezar la fiesta que termina hasta el otro dia.
