The generously sized restaurant Glankowirt is also available for guests to relax and share their experiences after an exciting day outdoors.

In the Summer - The village of Obertraun is set on the eastern shores of the beautiful Hallstatter See Lake in the Inner Salzkammergut region of Austria. Boasting a unique blend of 7000 year old history and stunning natural beauty, the Inner Salzkammergut is a special place to visit. Indeed, it is not only the regions cultural heritage but also its majestic mountains and unspoilt nature that led the UNESCO to declare it a cultural and natural World Heritage Site. The pristine nature of the lakes, mountains and woods in the shadow of the Dachstein provides a real paradise for walkers and cyclists alike.

In the Winter - The Dachstein-West ski region offers 2 diverse ski areas; at Gosau (15min drive),140kms of intermediate piste, served by a good standard of modern lifts and the Krippenstein Freeride Arena (5min drive), not only with the longest run in Austria at 11km, but also gives you the opportunity to try off-piste (guides available). The area is away from the large tour operators and so offers relatively crowd free skiing.
