About Celts House

In the heart of Dublin city, Celts House is a new and beautifully finished hostel. This stunning Georgian building has been remodelled as a comfortable, vibrant place to stay while enjoying the delights of the city.

We provide clean, friendly long and short term accommodation at some of the lowest rates in Dublin city.

We are located on Blessington Street in a quiet cul-de-sac just beside Blessington Basin, less that 5 minutes walk from O'Connell Street and less than 10 minutes walk from Temple Bar.

The nearby city centre and the Temple Bar area are famous for their lively pubs, restaurants and cultural events year-round, come rain or shine.

Celts House sits close to many cultural and historical attractions, offering a wealth of entertainment! We are close to all of Dublin's nightlife - pubs, bars, clubs and live music venues of all kinds.

Our facilities are of the highest hostel standard and designed to create a warm and pleasant atmosphere. Our staff are committed to making sure you really enjoy your stay in Dublin.

Named after the Earl of Blessington, the eldest son of Luke Gardiner who laid out the beginnings of the Gardiner Estate on the north side of the city, Blessington Street leads to the Urban Basin. The Blessington Street Basin is now one of the most unusual parks in the city, as eighty percent of the area of the park is water. An artificial island has been developed in the centre to create a refuge for the ducks and swans who regard the basin as home. The Blessington Basin is now an oasis of calm in the city, surrounded by high stone walls and lined with plants and seating.
