About Hotel Spa Heviz

This hotel, which has a new name but looks back upon hundreds of years of therapeutic traditions, was constructed in 1871 by the count Gyorgy Festetics on the western shore of the Hevizi Gyogyto (Medicinal Lake) at the foot of Heviz Hill. He named it the Hetes Haz (House Seven), since it was the seventh house built along this row, and was the first stone building that rose above the ground floor.
The family-style four star “Hotel Spa Heviz” is found right next to the world’s largest natural biologically active thermal lake. The pleasant hotel that has been created from this Neo-Classical style building welcomes all of its guests looking to rest and recuperate to its 54 well-furnished non-smoking rooms and suites with one or two beds, air conditioning and some even with balconies. In our rooms a TV, mini-bar, telephone, shower/bath and room safe see to the comfort of our guests.
At the disposal of the guests, in our hotel we have qualified specialist doctors and therapists that utilize hundreds of years of therapeutic traditions in an environment that lives up to the most modern professional standards.
At our hotel we primarily employ the comprehensive traditional Heviz course of treatment, which is recommended to patients suffering from rheumatological and motor disorders, among many others. It is therefore recommended for sufferers from various degenerative joint and spinal disorders due to wear and tear, sclerosis, inflammation, metabolism and other causes, so-called soft-tissue rheumatism (affecting connective tissues), metabolic bone diseases or secondary joint disorders.
The course of treatment begins with a medical examination, on the basis of which the doctor accurately prescribes treatments according to the guest’s state of health (an average of 4 treatments per day, a maximum of six times a week, with the exception of the medicinal baths, which naturally have no restrictions).
During the course of treatment the guest takes part in check-up exams and a final examination at the end of treatment.
Every one of the courses of treatment includes: doctor’s examinations, medical treatments and accommodations with breakfast and dinner (special dietary food on demand).
In the interest of achieving positive results and a long-term improvement in one’s state of health, the recommended duration of stay is 2-3 weeks, with a seven day medicinal bath treatment being the suggested minimum.
In addition to the effectiveness of the Heviz medicinal waters and traditional courses of treatment, our special therapies substantially promote the maintenance of a healthy spine, joints and bones, particularly if they are employed beginning at a young age. Therefore we supplement our already well-known and popular treatments with our special therapeutic programs, such as ones entitled “For Healthy Bones”, “For Healthy Joints” and “For a Healthy Spine”, which are compiled based upon scientifically accepted medical foundations, and are supplemented with the use of special balneotherapy and rehabilitative treatments.
