About Happy Neko Backpackers

Welcome to Happy Neko! We offer comfortable and clean budget accommodation in traditional Japanese style in the heart of Kannawa hot springs area, Beppu City, Japan. Just a few minutes walk from Beppu Jigokus (Hells) and many onsens and restaurants.

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of big cities and spend a relaxing time in our backpacker!

We speak English, Czech, and Japanese.

We offer accommodation in a traditional tatami room and furnished apartmens.

Spacious tatami room at first floor of our traditional 74 years old Japanese house, surrounded by beautiful Japanese garden.
Facilities: ensuite toilet, 2x washbasin,, fridge, electric kettle, gas heater or fan (winter season / summer), futons for sleeping, pillows, duvets.

There is no shower/bath available as we are located in the heart of hot springs spa area. Guests can choose from many traditional Japanese spas nearby (5 to 10 minutes walk).
