About Acropolis House
The hotel Acropolis House is a beautifully preserved building of the late 19th century, in excellent condition and since 1965 it is operated by Choudalakis family as a hotel. The building is a government designated landmark and in some rooms frescos of the 19th century where revealed from the earthquake of 1999. Frescos of the same period adorn the entrance.
The Hotel is located in a residential area at the beginning of the old city of Athens (Plaka), on a quiet pedestrian street. In short distance there are parking. The Hotel is only 10 minutes away from the monument of the Acropolis, 3 minutes from Syntagma square (Metro station, express buss E95 from and to the airport) and 2 minutes from the commercial center of Athens (Ermou street). There are also museums in approximate areas, pedestrian streets for pleasant walks, nice cafeterias, restaurants, places to hear live music and services like laundry, drug stores and tourist information office.
The hotel encourages a policy of non-smoking on communal areas and in the rooms. Clients may smoke at the specially wrought veranda of the first flour and on the balcony if the room has one.
