About IFhostel

Located in the center of the touristy area of Irkutsk, International Friendship Hostel-club is a great place for meeting, sharing experiences, exploring Russian culture and having fun!

Our hostel represents a typical apartment of the Soviet times. We made an attempt to reconstitute the atmosphere of the place where an ordinary family lived during the socialist era - authentic furniture, old books and newspapers, banners, pictures of Lenin and Stalin, photos of the Soviet people's life. We are sure that such a journey into the past will be an amazing and unforgettable adventure for you.

Our primary goal is to make your time in our hostel cheerful and entertaining. We organize subject parties on a regular basis, as well as open air games, interesting discussions with locals, music sessions, master-classes in cooking Russian traditional dishes and much more!

Two bedrooms with bunk beds and big living room for chilling out are at your disposal.

Cost: 500 roubles per night.

The cost includes breakfast, tea/coffee/sugar anytime and a set of bed linen. You can also use gratis washing machine, iron, hair-drier, and one computer with Internet access.
We organize parties, games, master-classes for all dwellers of our hostel free of charge.
Besides, we can provide you with information about trips to Baikal and the area so you can arrange your plans with ease.

Extra services:
* Quick local registration with no problems (300 roubles per person)
* Interesting and low-budget excursions around Irkutsk (from 150 roubles per person)
* One day trekking in Irkutsk area (countryside, cheerful company, cooking dinner on fire, guitar songs and active games)
* Bicycle tours (one or several days)
* If necessary, we can help you purchase train and bus tickets and tours, send your postcards and pick you up from the airport or train station
* Besides, we can arrange classes of the Russian language for you

Our hostel is situated in the very center of the tourist area of Irkutsk in 5 minutes' walk from the junction of the two main streets - Lenin st. and Karla Marks st. It sits virtually at the bank of the Angara river. There are bus & tram stops, stores, cafes, museums, sights and the oldest theater in town just in a few minutes' walk.
