About Obviouzly Armchair Backpackers & Pub

Previously a theatrical venue and music venue launching the most successful South African artists, the landmark red giant building is now the home of Obviouzly Armchair Backpackers and Pub - the funky, fun, and cool place to be, retaining the musical and theatrical magic. We are in the hub of bohemian Observatory, with a variety of pubs, restaurants, coffee shops and buzzing nightlife on the same strip.

You won't need to go far though to relax or be entertained. You can chill on the upstairs balcony or lounge, enjoy the outdoors in the outside cafe area, or be entertained in our vibey 'old school pub' with unique features, eclectic decor and amazing music. Whilst relaxing in your favourite armchair or sitting around the bar watching sport you can enjoy local dishes from our restaurant with your drinks or sit around the bar watching sport and chatting to the locals and travellers.

We offer friendly service, a free drink on check in, internet access and international calls, 24 hour security, transport, great specials on must see tours and comfortable accomodation in the heart of Cape Town's true (hustling, bustling and loud) soul Obviouzly Observatory.

Free airport pickup for 2 guests staying a minimum of 3 nights in a dormitory or 1 guest staying a minimum of 6 nights in a dormitory or 1 guest staying a minimum of 3 nights in a private room. Otherwise, the pick up from the airport is R150.00 for 1 guest and R180.00 for 2 guests.

7 day minimum stay

Non refundable 50% deposit payable after you have booked online. The booking is not confirmed until this has been paid and you have received a confirmation from Obviouzly Armchair Backpackers & Pub.

Full payment of the balance by 1 May 2010.

A 10% discount applies if you either stay for 30 nights or 2 weeks and make full payment by 1 April 2010.
