About Hostel Refugio Cordillera

Our homey log cabin design with large windows and ample common space has great views of nearby Cerro Lopez. There are rooms for 48 people.

The hostel is bit out of town but its worth the extra peace of mind as its just a short hop to a number of the upper trails:Cerro Lopez, Jacob and Laguna Negra. Buses run all day from the bus station or downtown.

Refugio Cordillera was made for people who enjoy comfort, tranquillity, and excellent hospitality. It is located outside of Bariloche (Circuito Chico, the route to Llao Llao, Km. 18) on paved roads. This makes it very easy for you to start your long excursions to Nahuel Huapi or short day trips to the many points of interest in the Bariloche area. After your long trips or short day trips from Refugio Cordillera, you can enjoy some of the most beautiful sunsets and incredible night skies in all of Patagonia.

We have plenty of hot water, electricity (220 volts), a full kitchen, refrigerator, gas stove, double oven, gas heating and a cosy fireplace. Other facilities include piano, ping-pong, a big lawn with barbecue and space for organic vegetables, mountain bikes for rent, info for treks, skiing and canyonning among other things.

We provide a transfer to Cerro Cathedral in winter.
