About Cambrai Backpackers Hostel & Tours
Our recently renovated historic Cambrai Backpackers Hostel & Tours Maffra was an old doctor's residence. We are situated in the centre of the town close to all amenities now open and welcoming backpackers into our friendly and homely atmosphere and discovering Gippsland is what we are about.
Our hostel accommodates 50 people with dorms and double rooms, prices starting at $20 per night. When staying here you can enjoy the spectacular scenery around the area, while adventure activities include bushwalking, camping and bicycle touring. Grab a canoe and maybe take a picnic lunch. You also have the chance of fishing at the river only 250 metres from the hostel's back door.
Tour operators will pickup from the hostel. You can book white-water rafting or cross-country skiing in pristine country, while four-wheel drive gold panning tours can take you through remote areas.
