About The Original Backpackers Hostel

We are located in a quiet tree lined boulevard in the heart of Sydney's entertainment and restaurant district, yet within walking distance of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Darling Harbour. As 'The Original' hostel in Sydney, we pride ourselves on our great reputation, friendly staff and warm social atmosphere.

We offer a warm welcome, clean rooms, great facilities and a friendly team of staff made up mostly of fellow travellers.

We have a large, clean fully equipped kitchen; a theatre style cable TV lounge; laundry facilities and security lockers. All dorms have TVs and fridges.

Reception is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We don't have a curfew but the common areas are cleared at 10pm to ensure our guests are able to get a good night's sleep.

The Original Backpackers Lodge is a superb address from which you can discover Sydney and its surrounds. We also provide a free pick up service from the airport so call us when you arrive and we will have our driver there in no time.
