Maragogi is situated in the Northern part of the state of Alagoas and is the heart of the 'Costa dos Corais' (Coral Coast). The Atlantic Ocean, rivers and coconut fields are a fusion of beauty and nature. The 20.000 inhabitants of the village of Maragogi live in a tropical climate with the local economy based on fishing, sugar-cane manufacturing and tourism.
