About Hostel Suites Do Pelo

Unlike the majority of pousadas and hostels of "Pelourinho," all of our suites offer private bathrooms. Each suite has twelve square meters of space, along with ceiling fan, TV, hot showers, and minibar, as well as extra large windows for natural ventilation, if desired. For optimal convenience, we offer a franchised restaurant just below our suites, in the same building, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all high quality meals at local prices. If you prefer to eat at other establishments, Pelorinho Suites offers prices which do not include breakfast.

Access

Unlike the rest of the Historic Center, coming and going to and fro by vehicle is not a problem at Pelourinho Suites. While all of the Historic Center limits vehicular access as well as parking, Pelourinho Suites is located on a road which permits both vehicular traffic as well as curbside parking. Also, we are just around the corner from the Baixa dos Sapateiros bus station, with a wide variety of local transportation available. These buses are ideal for the visitor interested in enjoying other points in the city, such as our beautiful beaches, A Igreja de Bomfim, or other historical and natural riches.

Safety

One of the most important concerns in any trip is, without a doubt, safety. In our case, Pelourinho Suites has a minimized risk, given that the Historical Center is one of the most heavily policed areas in Salvador. We are especially happy to note that our pousada is quite literally in front of a police station, which is on-call twenty-four hours a day.
CARNAVAL

It is during Carnaval that Salvador is filled with joy to receive visitors from all parts of the world—it isn't for nothing that our city is famed for having the greatest Carnaval in the world! For the tourist who seeks to enjoy this very special time of the year in Salvador, Pelourinho Suites, has a prime location, since Pelourinho itself literally posesses its own independent Carnaval, replete with bands and the sounds of drums in the street, up and down the historic paths, waking up the memories of Carnavals past. To enjoy the Carnaval taking place on the official circuit, where the great stars of Axe take part, access from Pousada Pelourinho is easily within walking distance. Also, to enjoy Carnaval in Barra, fast and easy access is available either by bus or taxi.
