Tina's Birdwatcher's Paradise Lodge is the choice for nature lovers that don't want to be bothered by busy tourism. Bird watching is an easy experience right from the sunny terrace at the lodge in the amazing Monteverde area in Costa Rica.

Its quiet location on the 3 acres of former farming land called ''Finca Cielo Verde' (Finca Green Sky) is beautiful.
Birdwatchers can observe wildlife right from the large
terrace, which is surrounded by primary forest and
country side, with lots of flowers and coffee- and banana
plants.

Walking on our trails, you can watch Toucans, Trogons,
Quetzals, the Three-Wattled Bellbird, Motmots, Manakins,
parrots, hummingbirds, Toledos, hawks, woodpeckers,
butterflies and other winged beauties of this zone
with a little bit of luck. We have also seen a
variety of mammals such as raccoons, opossums,
agoutis, foxes, bats, which come right to the house at night time, between other more shy species.

Finca Cielo Verde has a very special location. Birds and animals stay up here in the mountains to survive, because further down the Pacific slope the forests have been cut. Enjoy views of the mountains and of the Pacific Ocean from our trail.

Being only 10 minutes away from the center of noisy and touristy Santa Elena gives you easy access of other attractions of Monteverde. Most tour providers pick you up right at the farm's entrance.

The 48 square meters sized cabin was built in May 2006, with an artistic rustic touch.
There is a fully equipped kitchen. The toilet is separated from the hot shower. In the sleeping room we provide 2 double beds and one single bed.
There you also find our special, a wood stove (similar to a chimney) with a cozy sitting area, to relax at cool nights.

Birdwatcher's Paradise lodge is protected from the wind and off the gravel road. For this it is warm and no dust bothers. The huge terrace invites to enjoy the sun.

We are trying to reforest ''Finca Cielo Verde'', as it was before 20 years. With the help of the ''Monteverde Institute'', that provides native trees of the zone, we try to help endangered species to survive.

You can not find Birdwatcher's Paradise Lodge in any guidebooks yet, because it is a new place to stay. It is created by the same owner as of Cabinas Tina's Casitas, which are very positively recommended by the ''Lonely Planet'', ''Let's Go'', ''Reise Know How'' and other important travel guidebooks of Costa Rica.
