  5. When it comes to travel accommodation (but leaving out crashing with friends, family or people you meet on the road), how often do you stay in hostels?
    pretty much all the time

  6. Where have you hosteled?
    Europe

  7. Would you stay in a hostel again on future trips?
    Yes

  8. Why or why not?
    I have found them to be clean and efficient. I'm holidaying to see the country, not a hotel room.

  9. Out of all your experiences hosteling, what was your:
    • Best Moment
       Having an ensuite

    • Worst Moment
       None so far

    • Biggest Hurdle, Obstacle or Difficulty?
       Had to share bathroom with another room, but it didn't cause any problem. We didn't seem to want to use the facilities at the same time and anyway there were lots more bathrooms available.

    • Biggest surprise?
       I didn't hear any noise from other people in adjoining rooms.

  10. Do you ever book any of your hostel accommodation in advance?
    Always

  11. Why or why not?
    I hate wasting time when I arrive trying to decide where to go and getting what I want.

  12. Who is the most memorable person you met in a hostel and why?
    I actually haven't met ANYONE as I leave first thing in the morning and don't return until it's time for bed.

  13. Why do you stay in hostels, as opposed to other types of accommodation?
    It just seems such a waste of money to fork out on somewhere I only need to sleep in; I'd rather spend the money on sightseeing and souvenirs.

  14. Is there a hostel you'd recommend to other travelers? If so, what is it and where?

  15. What is the biggest myth people have about hostels and hosteling?
    People think you will be sharing with strangers, but you can have your own twin or triple room - or how many you want in it for that matter.

  16. Why do you like to travel?
    I love to see other cities and visit their top attractions.

  17. What is your advice for other travelers wanting to stay in hostels?
    Go for it and you won't travel any other way once you've done it the first time.
