I like to know what I'm getting. Reserving in advance relieves the "where are we going to stay" stress and cuts out much of the guesswork. - Who is the most memorable person you met in a hostel and why?

I don't like big chain places in general. Hostels are usually cheaper & cooler than hotels, with many of the extras. - Is there a hostel you'd recommend to other travelers? If so, what is it and where?
