  5. When it comes to travel accommodation (but leaving out crashing with friends, family or people you meet on the road), how often do you stay in hostels?
    pretty much all the time

    South America

  7. Would you stay in a hostel again on future trips?
    Yes

  8. Why or why not?
    Because it's far easier to meet new people, giving you more opportunities.

  9. Out of all your experiences hosteling, what was your:
    • Best Moment
      Going to Lapa, Rio de Janerio with loads of mates from the hostel.

    • Worst Moment
      Possibility of meeting total wankers is just as likley as meeting some great people.

    • Biggest Hurdle, Obstacle or Difficulty?
      Being too damm popular.

    • Biggest surprise?
      The sheer number of top people you meet, plus the staff at most hostels are great people.

  10. Do you ever book any of your hostel accommodation in advance?
    Sometimes

  11. Why or why not?
    Sometimes its good to have a plan; sometimes its just not possible.

  12. Who is the most memorable person you met in a hostel and why?
    A top geezer and his missis by the name of Hudson and Seleana who hail from Wimbledon, London. Funny funny people. Can't wait to get home where I imagine we'll be friends forever.

  13. Why do you stay in hostels, as opposed to other types of accommodation?
    Cost-effective. More likly to meet people who can often give you advice on the location having stayed there a while already.

  14. Is there a hostel you'd recommend to other travelers? If so, what is it and where?
    Chea Lagoto, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Great staff. Great City. Hostel Paudimar, Foz de Igaucu, for the same reason. I have ended up staying in both for longer than expected cos I'm having to much fun.

  15. What is the biggest myth people have about hostels and hosteling?
    I wasn't aware of any.

  16. Why do you like to travel?
    Sun and fun.

  17. What is your advice for other travelers wanting to stay in hostels?
    The best way to meet new people who will ultimately leave with your own impression or opinion of any one place.
