Once the town’s post office and telephone exchange, we're now a characterful and homely backpackers. Enjoy the friendly, warm and relaxed atmosphere with good loungey background music, FREE fairtrade tea and fresh ground fairtrade coffee, and good FREE movies.

Enjoy our large garden or dine alfresco on our bbq sundeck where you can use our gas barbeque. Our kitchen includes FREE herbs and recipe books. On cold nights we’ll get the fire roaring and you can enjoy cozy warm rooms with individual heaters in each.
In addition to all this we also have wifi and internet, a book exchange, laundry facilities, and off-street parking.

Some of our dorm beds are semi-enclosed with curtains and reading lights.

We are an 8 minute walk from the town centre, and one block away from the beach. We are located on a quiet street, sheltered from the wind and traffic of the town.

We are a member of Kiwi Green and do what we can to limit our environmental impact.
