About HI - Redwood National Park
The northernmost link in the California coastal chain of hostels, the Redwood National Park hostel is located in mist-shrouded Redwood National Park - a World Heritage Site and International Biosphere Reserve.
Just a stone's throw from the Pacific Ocean, the hostel, built in 1908, was the pioneer home of the Louis DeMartin family. The hostel retains all the charm of a family cabin with cozy rooms and a comfortable lounge for evening socializing.
Information is available on hiking trails, park attractions, and the ecology and history of the local area. Hostellers can explore the spectacular Coast Trail or hike through the immense trees of the primordial Redwood Forest. Hostellers may also cycle the Bikecentennial Coastal Route, surf, swim, enjoy a driftwood fire on the beach, or watch for migrating whales and birds on the Pacific Flyway.
